We are thrilled to introduce the brand-new TFX Dance Competition Teams!
Starting Sunday, 26 April 2026, we are launching two dedicated competition classes led by Scott.
This is a fresh opportunity for students to push their potential, work as a team, and represent TFX on stage.
Whether you are a Junior (Ages 6–9) or Senior (Ages 10+), we have a spot for you at the TFX Studio.
We are thrilled that Scott will lead our competition teams. Trained at the prestigious Dance School of Scotland, he brings a wealth of training background and competition experience to TFX.

Technical execution, musical timing, performance projection, and overall stage presence.
Costumes are essential.
Events may require travel. There are tech rehearsals to space the routine on stage.
Don’t worry! We select suitable competitions that are encouraging and appropriate for our team’s experience level.

Sharp lines, dynamics, and explosive movement.

High energy, musicality, and performance quality.

Fluidity, emotional expression, and control.
Alongside your Sunday team rehearsals you will receive 2 extra classes free of charge.
The judges are always looking for a little something special and ‘extra’ and we aim to please!
Competition rehearsals focus on choreography. Technique class focuses on YOU.
Alignment • Turns • Leaps • Flexibility • Musicality
1/2 hour Ballet and Jazz technique classes focus on building the core skills, strength, and control dancers need across all styles. Unlike choreography classes, the emphasis is on training the body properly, improving technique, and developing strong dance foundations.
Spend a lot of time refining lines and extensions, Turns, leaps and kicks, clean formations and spacing.
(Included Free of Charge)
1/2 hour strength and stamina classes in dance are conditioning sessions designed to help dancers become stronger, fitter, and more injury-resistant, while improving their ability to perform demanding choreography without getting tired.
They complement technique classes by focusing on the dancer’s physical fitness and endurance as well as core, leg, glute and upper body strength.
(Included Free of Charge)
Class uniform is mandatory for all students and must be worn to every lesson. Uniforms are purchased separately from costumes and are carefully chosen to provide comfort, flexibility, and support while maintaining a consistent, professional look across all classes.
Costumes for performances and competitions are invoiced separately and are designed specifically for each routine. This ensures that dancers have professional, high-quality outfits that complement the choreography and the style of the performance.
Competition entry fees vary depending on the event, organiser, and number of routines being performed. Because each competition has its own fee structure, costs will be specific to each event and may differ throughout the season.
We always aim to provide families with clear and timely communication regarding any upcoming competitions. Full details—including entry fees, deadlines, and any additional requirements—will be shared well in advance so that families have plenty of time to plan and confirm participation.
*First term will focus on establishing levels and settling into placements
