Acro C is the 4th level in our Acrobatic Arts Syllabus at this level students can chose to work towards exams.
Acrobatic Dance, or ‘Acro’ as it is commonly referred to is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.
Often defined by unique choreography, Acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context.
This class is often described as a mix of gymnastics and dance. Acro is an especially exciting style for dancers to master as training in both dance and acrobatic elements is required. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, based in flexibility, contortion and strength.
What our students say:
“I got to do my Acro Exam last year, I was super nervous but I was really happy when I passed. I really want to be able to do my aerial which is a cartwheel with no hands. and I am working really hard with my teachers to be able to do this soon.”
‘Teaching Acro at the end of my week makes me so happy. The classes are fun, energetic and every pupil and teacher leaves with a smile.’
